About DuBois Music Studio

LeRoy has been involved in music education for over 45 years. After earning a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education, his teaching interests have been in helping students balance the skills of sight-reading and ear-playing.

In addition to maintaining 40 students at the Academy and online, ranging from beginners to advanced piano students, he has developed a music foundation course for youth ages 5-10. This two semester course, Musicland.Express guides students in learning the ear and sight skills in tandem. Details and videos can be found at http://www.Musicland.Express

What’s Unique about DuBois Music Studio?

I have taught both ONLINE and IN-STUDIO lessons for over 40 years. In fact, online lessons currently represent 80% of my teaching load. How effective is online teaching? Listen to the parents and students themselves.

I utilize FACETIME, SKYPE or ZOOM, whatever is most convenient for you. And for those online students, I try to integrate an occasional in-studio experience when possible. Performance opportunities are also encouraged.

So wherever you live, whether it be NW Arkansas, Kansas, _____ ….. YOU CAN LEARN to play!
